StepUp (Social, Time and Empowering Programs to Uplift your Peers)
Every Tuesday - Friday, 3:00pm - 4:00pm or by appointment
From 3-4pm  LifeWorks Members and Guests can come drop into our YouthSpace, where we have computers, wireless access, Direct TV, a Nintendo Wii, snacks, an LGBT library, and most importantly, social time! Come check us out!

LIFEWORKS GLEE
Every Monday at 7pm our LGBTQA youth choir comes together for LifeWorks Glee rehearsal.  If interested in joining our group of youth singers contact us.

QUEER YOUTH YOGA
Kundalini Yoga is an ancient style of yoga focused on breath, chakras, and healing. It has been known to heal diseases and emotional imbalances, while strengthening and empowering our bodies, minds, and spirits.
Join us Mondays from 4:30-6pm for an uplifting hour of yoga, and enjoy all the benefits of this transformational practice.

DISCOVER YOUR VOICE
This is a small group singing and performance program. It's 10 weeks long, designed to build your confidence in performing a selected solo. No experience necessary! This program will transform you in beautiful ways! Email Daryl at dparker@lagaycenter.org if you are interested!

CAREER, SCHOOL, & JOB COUNSELING
Every Tuesday, 4-6p you can meet one-on-one with our fabulous LGBTQ-identified career counselors who will give you the personal attention & support you need to set your education and career goals.

QUEER WOMEN & TRANS COLLECTIVE
The Queer Youth of Color Collective is a weekly group where LifeWorks youth and guests gather every Tuesday from 4-6pm,to discuss what it means to be a queer person of color.

This collective has been assembled to give youth of color a space to voice their shared triumphs, concerns, obstacles and pressures, with a weekly desired outcome of each youth leaving feeling strengthened and equipped with sustainable solutions to be successful.

This space is designated for the sole purpose of sharing experiences in order to strengthen queer youth of color while identifying sustainable solutions to issues affecting them. Every meeting will end with the question, “What do you need to be successful?”

OUTSET - A FILMMAKING COLLABORATION OF LIFEWORKS & OUTFEST
This program is by application only.  15 participants will be chosen each year.  Filmmaking classes will be taught each Tuesday evening from November to February by film industry professionals.  Each participant will be mentored by a professional filmmaker and will make a short film to be screened at the Fusion Film Festival and entered into competition at the Outfest film festival.

GREENROOM
Every Wednesday, 5:30-8:30p, we gather as a community for dinner, check-ins, & social time.  Greenroom topics vary by week, so check out our blog roll or Facebook page for updates on this week’s presentation, workshop, or guest speaker. 

CREATIVE WRITING & EXPRESSION
Every Thursday from 4-6pm, we have a creative writing workshop for poetic souls and expressive spirits.

TRANS EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT
Every Friday from 11am-2pm, Trans-identified teachers are here to support trans-identified youth reach their academic goals!  If you’re in school, or thinking of going back, they will offer you all the help you need.

SUPERNOVA MARTIAL ARTS
Our most popular program! Every Friday 4-6pm and Saturday 12-2:30p, for absolute beginners and black belts too!  Our queer-identified martial arts senseis empower & train you in mixed martial arts and self-defense.

LifeOut
Join us for LifeOut! LifeOut Events are monthly opportunities for you to get out into the community and have some fun. We organize hikes in the mountains, bike rides, picnics, beach trips—and even trips to special events like LGBTQ theater productions, LA Film Festivals like Outfest and Fusion, and the GLAAD Awards! This is a great way to try something new and meet other LGBTQ youth.
